Jarosław Milewski holds a PhD in Literature from the University of Łódź and he is affiliated with the Department of American Literature there. He graduated with honors, having written his PhD thesis on Sarah Schulman’s novels about the AIDS epidemic understood as a practice of witnessing to and dissent from institutions of biopower. Earlier, he also published some academic articles on Schulman’s works, as well as on Jamie O’Neill’s novel At Swim, Two Boys. The focus of his studies is gay literature, but he is also interested in queer history and American culture. He has held the position of editorial secretary at InterAlia since 2019.
