Dominika Ferens teaches American literature at the University of Wroclaw, Poland. She holds a PhD in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (1999) and a post-doctoral degree from the University of Wrocław (2011). Her research interests include Asian American literature, affect theory, critical race studies, gender and queer studies, and the intersections of literature and ethnography. She is the author of two books: Ways of Knowing Small Places: Intersections of American Literature and Ethnography since the 1960s (2010) and Edith and Winnifred Eaton: Chinatown Missions and Japanese Romances (2002). She also co-edited with Tomasz Basiuk and Tomasz Sikora three collections of queer studies essays: Odmiany odmieńca/A Queer Mixture (2002), Parametry pożądania (2006) and Out Here: Local and International Perspectives in Queer Studies (2006).
